How to read these profiles
Investor profiles usually get written one of two ways: as a rankings entry, or as a success story. Neither is much use to somebody trying to work out how to invest their own money. What follows is closer to a set of case notes — each profile records how that person actually invests, what an individual can borrow from it, and, explicitly, where the lesson stops applying at individual scale.
That last section matters more than it looks. Almost everything a fund manager does is shaped by the fact that they are deploying other people's capital across dozens of positions with reserves to follow on. Copy the approach without that structure and you are usually taking far more risk than the person you copied it from. A concentrated portfolio of 25 companies is a strategy; a concentrated portfolio of three is a coin flip with extra steps.
Every factual claim about a person here traces to a named source listed on their page, and the analysis sections are labelled as analysis so the two do not get confused. Roles change constantly in this industry — several profiles on this page were corrected in the most recent review because someone had moved firms or stepped back from a day-to-day role. Verify anything current with the firm before acting on it.
