Jenny Abramson
Founder & Managing Partner, Rethink Impact
Built the largest U.S. fund investing in gender-diverse teams building technology for health, education and sustainability.
Jenny Abramson founded Rethink Impact in 2016 on the observation that a significant capital gap existed for women leading technology ventures aimed at large social and environmental problems — a thesis that meant writing later, larger cheques than most gender-lens funds, not more of the same seed-stage bets.
The fund writes $2M–$10M cheques from late seed through Series C into companies at the intersection of gender-diverse leadership and measurable impact. Its third fund brought in LPs including Melinda French Gates and UBS, pushing assets under management past half a billion dollars.
How she invests
Investing later and in bigger size than most gender-lens managers is a deliberate positioning choice: it means underwriting companies with more operating history and data, at the cost of writing fewer, larger bets per fund rather than building broad seed-stage breadth.
Rethink Impact’s AUM passed $500M with Fund III, backed by LPs including Melinda French Gates.
